The Scottish Childminding Association is celebrating "Childminding Month" during May.  

Lots of childminding groups across Scotland are taking part in fundraising activities to mark Childminding Month and raise lots money for their group and for their favourite children’s charities.

The Mental Welfare Commission have published a new monitoring report "When parents are detained"

The report looks at the use and awareness of section 278 of the Mental health Act, which places a duty on services to limit the effect of compulsory treatment on parental relations.  

Joined up support vital, as watchdog warns of danger moments for vulnerable kids

Children need more joined-up support when they are being taken into care, the Care Inspectorate warned today.

Speaking at a conference in Edinburgh, Chief Executive Annette Bruton urged local authorities and care providers to do more to make sure those responsible for protecting a child in care know more about their background and past.

Reach High! Care Inspectorate event for young people

Next month, the Care Inspectorate, together with a group of young people, will host an event for 100 young people who use care services in Scotland.
