Who we are

The Scottish Government set up the Care Inspectorate to provide assurance and proteciton for people who use care, social work and child protection services in Scotland.

Our workforce is highly skilled and experienced in all aspects of care, social work and child protection.  We operate out of offices across Scotland, from the Borders to the Islands. You can find an office near you here.

We are accountable to Ministers at Scottish Government and both our Board and Executive Team set out our strategic direction.
