How to get involved with your service

The services that we regulate have to show us that they involve people that use their service.

We ask for evidence that people have had opportunities to have their say about their quality of care and how this results in the service improving. Make sure you feedback your views.

Ask your care service for a copy of their inspection report.

  • Get involved when your service is inspected - talk to our inspectors when they visit.
  • Ask your service how you can get involved – they may provide questionnaires or run focus groups or resident meetings that you could join.
  • Make sure you have your say.
  • Talk to staff – share your good or bad experiences with your service.
  • Take part in activities that your service may offer.

If there’s something you’d like to do or get involved with, ask if they could provide this. Ask your service for a suggestions box so that you, and others around you can feedback views.
